REHAROBO Project – Development of a Passive Rehabilitation Robot Ready for an Open Interoperable Platform

Kinestica d.o.o. is a partner in the consortium of the research and development project (RRI project) “Development of a Passive Rehabilitation Robot Prepared for an Open Interoperable Platform – REHAROBO” in which together with the project partners Energa TM d.o.o. and Sublimo d.o.o. obtained co-financing in the public tender “PUBLIC TENDER FOR INCENTIVES FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS OF NOO” of the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport.

The goal of the development project is to develop an innovative high-tech rehabilitation device intended for motor rehabilitation of the upper limbs, which can be implemented in decentralized rehabilitation processes – even in the home environment. The developed solution will also enable the rehabilitation of the upper limbs at home.

The development basis of the project is represented by a sensory system for hand rehabilitation supported by virtual reality and a prototype of a passive robotic arm. With the ROBOREHA system, we will expand and upgrade the functionality and enable rehabilitation in earlier stages and for more disabled patients who are unable to move their hands independently in space.

The purpose of the project is the transition to a circular economy, which enables many contributions such as the preservation of natural resources, reducing the harmful effects of waste generation, reducing the global carbon footprint of the rehabilitation industry…

The ROBOREHA project is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the Next Generation EU mechanism and is part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP). You can read more about the mechanism on the presentation page of the mechanism (www.noo.gov.si).
